The dive has been a dream of Danny and Kerry's since they got married 21 years ago, after meeting in Gunnison at Western State University. For years, Danny cooked and managed other restaurants, most notably in Fort Collins, CO. Then, in 2010, they got the opportunity to buy Mario's, bringing them back to Gunnison and a restaurant to call their own. When the lot next door to Mario's came up for sale, they jumped on it, knowing one day it would be the perfect place to build and create a restaurant of their very own design. With years of research and development (aka, lots of eating and drinking at other establishments) Danny and Kerry have crafted an industrial pub-like setting, with creative, homemade food, a signature drink menu featuring a variety of whiskey and bourbon, and Colorado brewed beer on tap. They couldn't be more excited to share their vision with the Gunnison Valley. Cheers!

With a little bit of creativity, and a lot of hard work, the dive has a unique feel like no other in the Gunnison Valley. A HUGE thanks to Matt Ventura Designs, the architect and contractor who put Danny and Kerry's vision all together. Using reclaimed wood for the bar, a food truck for the kitchen, and garage doors to give it an industrial feel, the dive is a cozy place to sit back, relax, and enjoy food and drink after a nice bike ride at Hartmans.
